When I travel, no matter how long or short the trip, I always make time for a little “me-time”. This time, I was in New York for just over two weeks, and I made it my goal to visit a couple of studios to decompress. Since starting Cleanse, I love to see and feel different wellness spots and discover their product selection and manifest that one day my products will be on those shelves too.
The best part about traveling from Europe to New York is the time zone difference. As someone who doesn’t consider themselves a morning person at all, I actually enjoy waking up early—between 5 and 6 a.m (thanks to jet lag). With the entire morning ahead of you, it feels like you have a whole extra day.
Let’s get right into the list, these are the studios I’ve visited and what I thought about them… I already can’t wait to go back and try more places!
My friend Maddy was raving about this spot for as long as I can remember. Primarily a yoga studio, it also features infrared saunas, a cold plunge, and a treatment suite that currently works with Osea.
The design of Sky Ting’s Noho space strikes a perfect balance between stylish and inviting. The beauty products offered to clients are top-notch, from Costa Brazil shower products to Chanel body oils and Osea face cleansers. This attention to detail is what really makes a studio feel luxe. With '80s-inspired elements, the lounge area feels both cool and cozy, an environment so welcoming, I didn’t want to leave. I just wanted to relax and read my book forever…
We booked a private room for 60 minutes to do contrast therapy—alternating between the infrared sauna and cold plunge. This was a major moment for me because I did my first cold plunge ever (twice even) and lasted a little over one minute. I’m usually terrified of the cold, but the feeling afterwards is indescribable. It was like my brain had been cleared out, and my mind stayed sharp all day long.
I booked another 30 minute infrared sauna session, but this time I came solo with my book on a Sunday evening. But let me tell you what The Well is all about.
The Well has you covered with a wide variety of wellness services. From massages and facials to eucalyptus-infused saunas, meditation domes, and Reiki, they’ve got something for everyone. Their approach mixes Eastern and Western healing practices, making it a go-to spot for all-around care and relaxation. You enter the space and you immediately feel Zen.
What really stood out to me about this place were the amenities. You can enjoy the dry and steam saunas, unwind in the relaxation area with a cup of herbal tea and a good read, all before heading to your booked session. Next time, I’m definitely planning to try one of their healing treatments and eat a healthy meal at their restaurant. I am so happy I found this place.
If you enjoy mat pilates and hot yoga, it’s time to get acquainted with hot Pilates. Fuze House, which started in Miami, has recently brought its energy to New York City. The class was intense…I was drenched in sweat (thanks to the infrared heat in the room) and felt super toned afterward. It’s like getting a double workout with all the sweating you do in 50 minutes!
Perched on the 23rd floor of the ultra-chic WSA building in the Financial District, Water Lounge offers a unique vibe from the moment you step in. It felt like time stood still—or maybe like I’d traveled back in time? Either way, the atmosphere was incredible. The space channels an 80’s Wall Street aesthetic with sleek modern touches. They offer a variety of services, including facials, massages, yoga, and Pilates, all with stunning views of the city skyline.
Okay, it’s not a studio, but hear me out—this spot is a total HUB for eating well, and that makes it a well-being place too! Happier Grocery has super fresh produce, plus they serve up salads, soups, and sandwiches that are perfect for lunch. They also have a beauty and home (from laundry detergents to cleaning supplies) section packed with clean, vegan products from niche brands, which makes it so fun to browse and discover new favourites. Oh, and their smoothie bar? Absolutely delicious.
